The world's wild Tiger population is rising for the first time in a century. The news is very good for the Tiger. It is good news for Tigers because the are an endangered species.
Since the early 20th century, Tiger numbers have dramatically declined. At the beginning of the 20th century there was around 100,000 Tigers in the wild. For most of the 21st century, Tigers in the wild is at 3,200 wild Tigers. Therefore, this news is great news.
The wild Tiger population for the first time is growing. There is no longer 3,200 Tigers in the wild, there are now 3,890 Tigers in the wild.
The increase in growing Tiger population numbers were published in Scientific America. The published document shows how wild Tigers are making their way back in places such as India and Russia.They state how this information about wild Tiger numbers were released via The 3rd Ministerial Conference on Tiger Conservation.
Many of the top wildlife charities have already released a statement on this. The WWF has already released a statement on this.
