. Fox Hunting. The SNP decided to vote against Fox hunting beingrepealed. It was the first time that the SNP have voted on a non-Scottish issue at Westminster. The SNP have also proposed to strengthen the Scottish version of the Hunting Act. The SNP has since done nothing to strengthen the fox hunting law in Scotland, despite its proposals. Their proposals were stated a year ago.
. Seal cull. The Badger Cull got a lot of media attention, however, the seal cull which was happening at the same time got little to no attention. There has been 1400 seals killed in the past four years. Seal pups were reportedly starved to death, because of their mothers being shot. Seals can be shot at anytime of year in Scotland, which means in breeding season too. This means that young pups starve to death, if their mother is shot.
. Wild animals in circuses. The Scottish government last year asked the public whether or not wild animals should be banned from circuses. The results showed that a massive 94.7% thought that there could only be a complete ban on animals in circuses. The SNP still hasn't outlawed wild animals being used in circuses, to date.
. Fracking. The SNP have not ruled out fracking in Scotland. It doesn't specifically state that it favours fracking either. The SNP have stated that they are taking an 'evidence based' approach.
. HS2. The SNP supports the HS2 railway-line. But, not only that, they have wanted it to be extended to Scotland. This would mean that it not only would damage English countryside, but also Scottish countryside.
