A survey was carried out by a BBC magazine called Gardeners World. The aim was to find out how well garden wildlife was doing.
The survey was conducted with almost two and a half thousand people taking part.
The study is very alarming for Hedgehogs. It found that there was a 32% reduction in sights of the Hedgehog. Which only happened in the space of one year.
The Hedgehog has been declining since the 1950s. There was around 55 million Hedgehogs in the wild in the 1950s, today there are fewer than 1 million Hedgehogs in the wild.
