Garden birds will eat a wide variety of foods. You don't need to give the specilized wild bird food, all though, it is more beneficial. You can give garden birds many of the foods which are in your kitchen cupboards.
Here, we shall take a look at the foods that you can give out for your garden feathered friends.
Seeds are a perfect food for wild birds. They contain a lot of the vibers, and proteins that birds need. Plus, they are easy, and cheap to buy from your local shop, or online.
Fat balls are an excellent food for garden birds. They are especially good in the winter time. This is becaus birds need more fat in winter time, and fat balls are full of fat.
Birds love cheese. To help them eat it, instead of putting a block of cheese out for them, either break it up into small pieces, or, grate it.
Birds will usually eat fruit in the wilds, or in gardens were they can find it.
But, if you've not got a fruit tree, or plant, then one of the things that you can feed the birds is a varitey of fruit.
Make sure that the peanuts you get are specialised peanuts for birds. Don't give them human peanuts, as salt is not good for them.
But, bird peanut are an excellent source of food for birds.
. Keep any feeders, or bowls clean. As they can catch diseases if they're not clean
. Keep the food out of reach of cats/ give the birds an escape route if cats are around
